Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. O'Fallon Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If a visitor writes to us, the message is used only to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting keeps ordinary server logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We look at this in aggregate to keep the site healthy and to see which pages readers use. Cookies or similar technologies may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data helps operate the reference, address technical problems, measure general traffic, and improve resource pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Resources
County and state portals, library collections, archives, and search providers linked here use their own privacy practices. Those practices, rather than this policy, control information submitted on their services. The same applies to sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal data a website holds. Research did not identify a comprehensive Missouri consumer-privacy statute or universal opt-out portal for this purpose. Because this reference keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing responsive material. Use the Contact page to ask. Missouri, St. Charles County, and O'Fallon public records remain under the custodian's control, not ours.
Policy Changes
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after posting means acceptance of the updated policy.
